The Director of Acquisition & Brand Marketing will activate the Wayground Brand across channels to drive measurable growth. This leader will define positioning and voice for teachers and administrators, and translate that into scalable programs across social, content marketing, user-generated content, community, and performance marketing. They bring both creative brand instincts and operational discipline, with a focus on reach, engagement, and acquisition.
What you'll do...
Brand Strategy
- Define and evolve brand story, positioning, and tone for educator audiences in collaboration with Product Marketing.
- Ensure consistency across channels, campaigns, and lifecycle stages.
- Use market, user, and cultural insights to shape messaging and creative direction.
- Build and execute programs that translate brand strategy into reach and engagement.
- Define and track KPIs such as impressions, engagement, share of voice, and brand lift.
- Tailor narratives and formats to audience and lifecycle needs.
- Build and run a content engine that supports awareness and acquisition goals.
- Oversee creation of newsletters, guides, blogs, case studies, and other resources.
- Distribute content across web, email, social, and partner platforms.
- Lead organic and paid social strategies aligned with brand voice and goals.
- Integrate user-generated and brand-created content into a cohesive system.
- Build repeatable processes to source, curate, and amplify educator stories.
- Maintain a coordinated content calendar tied to campaigns and product launches.
- Grow educator communities across groups, forums, and ambassador networks.
- Drive engagement, advocacy, and peer-to-peer connection rooted in brand identity.
- Surface feedback, champions, and stories that inform campaigns and messaging.
- Activate and scale brand through paid media on Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
- Manage and optimize budgets for awareness and acquisition outcomes.
- Test, iterate, and scale effective creative and targeting with analytics support.

Who you are...
- 8–12 years in marketing, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience shaping brand identity and operating across channels.
- Hands-on expertise in one or more areas: performance marketing, content, social, or community.
- Strong analytical mindset (measurement, attribution, optimization).
- Experience in education, B2C2B, or mission-driven sectors preferred.
- Proven ability to build scalable programs with lean teams.
- Location: On-site 4 days per week; must be located in New York, USA.
- Clear, resonant narrative adopted across channels and audiences.
- Increased awareness, trust, and recognition among educators.
- Content, social, and community programs that amplify the brand.
- User-generated content embedded into campaigns and storytelling.
- Paid and organic reach converting to acquisition and engagement.
- Communities and advocates reinforcing the brand at scale.

Salary range
$180,000 - $225,000 per annum
